The Method
Expected value, not vibes
A bid = (chance the player matters) × (what he's worth to a roster that needs him), discounted by weeks remaining. A handcuff in Week 12 is not a handcuff in Week 2.
Your standing changes the math
A 2-6 team should overpay for lottery tickets and league-winners — median outcomes don't save a lost season. A 7-1 team should hoard budget for insurance.
Real clearing prices
Our bid ranges are recalibrated weekly against reported winning bids from actual leagues — the market report feeds the model. Generic "bid 15%" advice never checks its receipts.
